As a former member of the RAAF, Shane turned to shopfitting in 1985 to pursue his interest of carpentry and joinery. Having worked in Townsville with other shopfitting companies, Shane decided it was time to venture into structuring his own business.

So in 1999, Shane set up his own company, S.O.H Design & Fitout with a view to providing his clients with a unique blend of quality workmanship, modern functional designs and well-proven materials. These three elements still remain the basis of every S.O.H installation. To date over 100 shops in Townsville have been manufactured and installed by S.O.H Design & Fitout.

Rather than have a large staff of expensive multi-skilled employees, S.O.H Design & Fitout believes that expert tradesmen should be used in every area of the manufacture and installation.

By working only with approved sub-contractors not only does this reduce overheads (and hence the price the client pays), but it also enables the very best mix of skills to provide the client with a far superior installation.
